The Woods County Free Fair
September 9th 10th & 11th l Alva, OK

Thursday, September 9th: 

  • 8-1:00pm- All poultry and rabbit exhibits must be in place. Poultry will be blood tested.
  • 10:00am- Judging of OHCE (Ok. Home and Community Education) Exhibits
  • 1:00pm- Judging Floral Exhibits- 11:30- Entry deadline
  • 3:00pm- Merchants Building Opens to public- "Jumps of Fun"
  • 5:00pm- Livestock in place, including bucket calves. weigh sheep, then cattle. Turn in Barrow weights.
  • 5:30pm- All exhibits are due.
  • 6:00pm- Judging FFA Agricultural Mechanics
  • 6:30pm- Horse Broom Polo
  • 6:30pm- Poultry and Rabbit 4-H and FFA Judging
  • 7:00pm- "Death By Chocolate" Competition
  • 9:00pm- Merchants Building Closes

Friday, September 10th:

  • 8:00am- Judging of Swine, Bucket Calves, Beef Cattle, followed by Sheep/Goats
  • 9:00am- Judging of Open Class Homemaking Exhibits, 4-H Exhibits and Agriculture Open Class.
  • 3:00pm- Merchants Building Open to Public- "Jumps of Fun"
  • 7:00pm- Ice Cream Treat! $1 Bowl- Women's Building
  • 7:00pm- The Ruffcuts Concert
  • 9:00pm- Merchants Building Closes

Saturday, September 11th: 

  • 8:00-8:20am- Horse Show Check-in/Contestant Numbers Assigned
  • 8:30am- Horse Show- Indoor Events- Indoor Arena
  • 10:00am- Merchants Building Opens to Public
  • 11:00am- Stick Horse Rodeo
  • 11:30am- Horse Show- Speed Events- Outdoor Arena
  • 1:00pm- Release Exhibits/Merchants Building Closes
  • 2:00pm- Demolition Derby
  • 5:00pm- Cook-Off

 

First Assembly of God Church: 4 person Golf Scramble
September 18th l Medicine Lodge, KS

Saturday, September 18th l Waynoka, OK

Waynoka, Oklahoma's Fall Sand Festival is going on Saturday, September 18th! Events will be going on in Downtown Waynoka, at the Waynoka Rodeo Grounds & at Dog Creek in Elm Park!

"The Waynokanopolis" - Lawnmower Races! Taking place at the Waynoka Rodeo Grounds at 6:00pm- Admission is $5 for Adults; Children 6 & Under Free!

Silent Auctions! - Participate in the Silent Auctions being held at the participating merchants, and make sure to get in on the Total BBQ Raffle Package!
